Aides of Kremlin Critic Alexei Navalny Say Banned Nerve Agent Found on Hotel Water Bottle

In Russia, aides to opposition leader Alexei Navalny said Thursday that German scientists discovered traces of the banned nerve agent Novichok on a water bottle in the Siberian hotel room where Navalny stayed before falling ill aboard a flight to Moscow last month. Navalny is a vocal critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin. He survived the apparent poisoning and was airlifted to a hospital in Germany, where he’s recovering after coming out of an induced coma.
