Chinese Authorities Sentence More Hong Kong Democracy Campaigners to Prison

In Hong Kong, Chinese authorities have sentenced seven more democracy campaigners to up to a year in prison over their roles in last year’s protests against a national security law imposed by China. Among those sentenced were two former legislators and a leader of the Civil Human Rights Front, a group that led massive protests in 2020 but was disbanded in August amid a police inquiry.
