Hi there,

May 1 and 2 are Public Media Giving Days. With lies and disinformation flooding the media landscape, and the Trump administration increasing its attacks on journalists, the need for independent news questioning and challenging those in power is more critical now than ever. We do not take any government or corporate funding, so we can remain unwavering in our commitment to bring you fearless trustworthy reporting on the issues that matter most. Thanks to a group of generous donors, all donations made today will be DOUBLED, which means your $15 gift is worth $30. If our journalism is important to you, please donate today. Every dollar makes a difference. Thank you so much.

Pat Cipollone Subpoenaed in Jan. 6 Investigation

HeadlineJun 30, 2022

The House select committee investigating the January 6 Capitol insurrection has subpoenaed former White House counsel Pat Cipollone. On Tuesday, former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson testified that Cipollone repeatedly warned against Trump’s plans to incite the mob to march on the Capitol on January 6.

Cassidy Hutchinson: “I saw Mr. Cipollone right before I walked out onto West Exec that morning, and Mr. Cipollone said something to the effect of 'Please make sure we don't go up to the Capitol, Cassidy. Keep in touch with me. We’re going to get charged with every crime imaginable if we make that movement happen.’”
