In Vermont, a 48-year-old man accused of shooting three Palestinian college students pleaded not guilty Monday to three counts of attempted second-degree murder. He allegedly shot the students from his porch as they walked by. U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland said the FBI is investigating whether the shooting was a hate crime.
