In France, a series of apparently coordinated arson and vandalism attacks have shut down the high-speed rail network near Paris, just hours ahead of the opening ceremony of the Summer Olympics. Some 800,000 travelers were impacted by cancellations and delays. Eurostar said its services between London and Paris had also been affected.
