Fair pay advocate and the namesake of the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, the first bill signed into law by President Obama. The act was passed in response to a 2007 Supreme Court ruling that rejected her claim of pay discrimination at a tire plant in Alabama where she worked for 19 years.
