Associate professor of Latin American history at Dartmouth College. She is currently a visiting lecturer at University College London. Padilla is the author of Rural Resistance in the Land of Zapata. She is currently writing a book on the history of rural normal schools in Mexico, which is called The Unintended Lessons of Revolution.
