Meanwhile, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting is preparing to elect a new chairperson on Saturday to replace Ken Tomlinson, whose tenure ends that day. Broadcasting and Cable reports two of the top candidates are Republican board members Gay Hart Gaines and Cheryl Halpern.
