Mississippi: Undocumented DREAMer to Be Deported Without Hearing

HeadlineMar 03, 2017

In Mississippi, lawyers for Daniela Vargas say ICE officials are preparing to deport the 22-year-old undocumented immigrant without a court hearing. Vargas was arrested this week shortly after she spoke out publicly against a February immigration raid that saw her father and brother detained by ICE. Vargas was brought to the U.S. from Argentina as a child; she has a pending application to renew her DACA status granting her permission to live and work in the U.S.
