Arkansas Law Adds New Obstacles to Abortion Access

Meanwhile, in Arkansas, a bill signed into law Wednesday by Governor Asa Hutchinson will require doctors to interrogate patients about the sex of their fetus before they’re allowed to have an abortion. Doctors will also need to attempt to obtain a woman’s medical records before proceeding. The law is ostensibly aimed at preventing “sex-selective” abortions, but pro-choice groups say it’s intended more obstacles to abortions.
