West Bank Protesters Condemn Palestinian Authority After Death of Prominent Critic Nizar Banat

HeadlineJun 25, 2021

In the occupied West Bank, protesters decried the apparent killing of activist Nizar Banat, after he was arrested and beaten by Palestinian Authority forces. Banat was an outspoken critic of the Palestinian Authority and its president, Mahmoud Abbas. This is his widow, Jihan Banat.

Jihan Banat: “What are they killing us for? They will not kill all the Palestinians. Palestinians are not afraid of Israeli occupation soldiers. Will they be afraid of the Palestinian Authority and its forces? They will not be afraid. I call on all Palestinians to be like Nizar Banat.”
