In the Philippines, a landslide caused by Super Typhoon Man-yi killed at least seven people and destroyed dozens of houses in Nueva Vizcaya province as the northern Philippines suffered its sixth major storm in under a month.
Danilo Dagdagan: “The floodwater from the typhoon and the surrounding provinces gushed here because the elevation of the land here is lower. … It makes our lives difficult. It’s hard for us. Especially for those of us without sufficient food, it’s dreadful.”
