Israeli authorities have taken Al Jazeera off the air inside Israel. On Sunday, police officers raided the network’s Jerusalem bureau and seized broadcasting equipment. Israel’s Foreign Press Association called it a “dark day for democracy.” The move came just two days after World Press Freedom Day.
