In other news from New York, 50 activists were arrested Thursday at the final action of the “Summer of Heat” series of protests at the Citibank headquarters. Faith leaders, scientists, climate and peace activists gathered again in a joint protest to demand Citibank stop funding fossil fuel projects and an end to the war on Gaza.
