Associate professor and chair of the Department of African-American Studies at Georgia State University. He is a founding member of the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement and the New Afrikan Peoples Organization. He is also the author of the book, We Will Shoot Back: Armed Resistance in the Mississippi Freedom Movement.
