Authorities Discover New Mass Grave in Kerbala

Meanwhile, authorities in the Iraqi city of Kerbala have uncovered a mass grave containing the bodies of at least 30 people. The dead are thought to be victims of Saddam Hussein’s suppression of a Shiite uprising following the 1991 Gulf invasion. Some 300 possible mass graves have been report since US forces overthrew Saddam Hussein’s government in April 2003, most of them in southern Shi’ite areas and in Kurdish areas of the north.
