Thousands March in Oaxaca Against Federal Police

in Oaxaca thousands of protesters and teachers marched for a second day to call for the removal of federal police from the city. One Oaxacan teacher criticized the police.

  • Unidentified Teacher: “We have a lot of colleagues who have been arrested and some have disappeared and we don’t know where they are. They were arrested by local police and the government, so we are marching to show the conditions are not in place to return to school.”
