Madoff has pleaded guilty to running the biggest Ponzi scheme in history, defrauding investors of some $64 billion. He faces up to 150 years in prison. Defense attorneys are seeking a twelve-year sentence. Ten of Madoff’s dozens of victims have asked permission to address the court today in support of a lengthy jail term.
