The Daily Beast reports the White House quietly informed a veterans group that family members of fallen U.S. soldiers may have been exposed to the coronavirus at an event hosted by President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence. Dozens of Gold Star family members, many of them elderly, packed the East Room of the White House on September 27 for the event — seated shoulder to shoulder and not wearing masks.
