Jimmy Lai is accused of “colluding with foreign powers.” Police also raided the newsroom of his publication, Apple Daily. On Friday, the Trump administration imposed sanctions on a number of top officials in Hong Kong, including Chief Executive Carrie Lam, over the crackdown on mass protests.
