The sociologist, author and educator James Loewen has died at the age of 79. He was the author of many books, including the best-seller, “Lies My Teacher Told Me: Everything Your American History Textbook Got Wrong.” Loewen once wrote, “Telling the truth about the past helps cause justice in the present.”
