On Sunday, Belarus changed its constitution to allow for the deployment of Russian nuclear weapons on its soil. This came as President Vladimir Putin put Russia’s nuclear forces on high alert, a move that was slammed by the White House as further escalation and a response to a “manufactured threat.”
