The occupied West Bank is observing a general strike today, one day after Israeli forces raided a Jenin refugee camp, killing six Palestinians. It was the latest deadly attack by Israel, which has killed at least 73 Palestinians since the start of the year.
Meanwhile, in the Palestinian village of Huwara, Israeli settlers ambushed a family, including an elderly man and a toddler. This is the family’s grandmother describing the attack.
Amal Khalifa: “We were done with shopping and got into the car. He was about to switch the car on. Suddenly, we did not know where they’d come from. They were like rabid dogs, attacking all at once. We did not see them. The road was empty. It seems like they wait and lay low and hunt people down.”
