According to reports, the Justice Department will oversee investigations into Google and Apple, while the Federal Trade Commission will take on Facebook and Amazon. Meanwhile, the House Judiciary Committee is launching a bipartisan investigation into the tech industry for “anti-competitive conduct.” In a statement, House Judiciary Chair Jerry Nadler said, “[T]here is growing evidence that a handful of gatekeepers have come to capture control over key arteries of online commerce, content, and communications.”
