NYPD Stops Deploying “Digidog” After Public Outrage

The New York Police Department is discontinuing its use of the “Digidog” — a dog-like high-tech surveillance robot — following public condemnation. The NYPD says it canceled its $94,000 contract and returned the four-legged robot to its creator, Boston Dynamics.
