A federal judge has temporarily blocked Arkansas’ near-total abortion ban a week before it was set to go into effect, saying it was “categorically unconstitutional.” The law makes exceptions only if the pregnant person’s life is in danger, and disproportionately targets people of color, LGBTQ+ and low-income people.
