Washington Voters Reject Fee on Carbon Dioxide Pollution

And in Washington, voters rejected a ballot measure that would have made the state the first in the U.S. to levy a fee on carbon dioxide emissions. The fossil fuel industry spent a record amount—over $32 million—to defeat the carbon fee.
